Hi guys! It's been a while!
On the 22nd of April we welcomed our son {Baby 𝓐} into this world after a crazy but short 6 hour labour (labour story coming soon!) he was born healthy and beautiful and as perfect as can be. He is also partly to blame for my absence on this blog and I hope I can make up for the lost time.
These last 11 weeks have been insane! With my daughter {Little ℒ} turning into a Little Demon at the arrival of her brother and with him attached to my breast every few minutes it's no wonder my hair looks like a cactus on a good day and my t-shirts (that belong to my husband and I've been using since I found out I was pregnant) have all sorts of stains on them ranging from spit up, breast leakage and something brown I seemed to have gotten after my daughter hugged me that I hope is chocolate and no I won't be checking thank you very much!
So where do I start? Well first of all you are never prepared enough to have a baby even if it's your second or third or even fourth baby, each baby is different and special in their own way and can surprise you in lots of different ways too, the first nappy change my son and I experienced left me in tears of laughter as my son sprayed me and the bed the moment the nappy was lifted and even after I finished up and dressed him again he peed which somehow wet his tummy and left his nappy dry leaving me confused and slightly concerned but a few demonstrations by the nurse later and we were accident-free and changing nappies without any trouble.
Needless to say it's been an amazing few weeks and incredibly difficult too, every night I plan to sit and write this blog but can't help but fall back on my bed and sleep for what little time I have before either one of my kids wake up, but finally I have them both down for their afternoon nap and here I am! Yes, my sink is filled and the laundry is in piles asking to be washed but sometimes Momma needs some Me-Time!
Hopefully as my son grows I'll be able to blog more and update you guys on how we're doing, subscribe for more upcoming posts including Breastfeeding advice, Sibling Rivalry and also Pregnancy and Labour stories too. That's all for me today, I know it isn't much but I hear a little squeaker waking up.
